With each photo, I seek to convey a story in a single image. Every situation is an opportunity to excel and explore a new landscape.
From art & photojournalism to personal & commercial events, I can handle any type of photography.
I grew up with a camera in hand, film was my elusive friend on hiking adventures and sunny days in the garden. I cultivated my skills in the darkroom, developing my own film and paper prints. Digital photography let me expand my love from the darkroom into the newsroom. Photojournalism brought me a sense of pride and ownership in my work as it was published three times a week. Nothing was more satisfying than flipping through sections of newsprint, smelling the freshly pressed ink, and seeing images that just two days prior were data on a memory card.
Until the day I got my first job as a freelance commercial photographer. I’m not talking about that wedding I shot for a college friend, or the bat mitzvah I shot over a weekend, this was not a one-off gig. When I got hired as one of six photographers by a notable photo agency my dreams had come true. It was in this job that I experienced what it truly takes to succeed as a professional photographer.
From long nights to early mornings, there was no distance I would not travel, no time frame too lengthy, no requirement too large or small, nothing would stop me from taking that photo. I spent six strenuous years working full time for that company and experiencing tremendous growth, honing my craft, expertise, and professional integrity.
